Anyone know if such a map exists? I live in southern Trumbull and I get full bars when listening to Troop G over the Troop I simulcast but only 1 or 2 bars when listening to G over the Troop G simulcast.
Just curious where the towers are.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Yeah that would be useful!

I used be parked on the Troop H site prior to the P2 switch... now it seems as my goto is the Troop L site, at least when I am at home. Over in Southington I can listen to Troop H, but with my WX1000 fully extended. Something changed that is for sure.

Every trunked system in the database has a line right above the frequency table that says:
Site Map(s): FCC Callsigns RR Locations

If you click the one for FCC licenses in CT you get this:
It may or may not be accurate depending on whether or not all the proper callsigns for the system were submitted.

This microwave path map is now old and dated, but at least shows an idea of the general layout of where the towers are located.

Its because you are in between 2 Troop G sites and are getting simulcast distortion. The closest troop I site is Ansonia and you are getting it better because you are not trying to get 2 sites.

Some of the licenses, I believe the 700 MHz frequencies are mostly used under a statewide license that will not show individual tower locations, so my understanding is they were used all the old towers from the smart zone system.
