Yeah I think so. Thanks for the suggestions. Unless I can figure something else out with just a mic clip. Didn't even think of those just a matter of placement with no holes drilled into the dash.

But you're saying that particular type of mic clip should work on one of these simple mounts. With the top and bottom holes to set the mic clip on the mount?
I'm speaking from experience that it works. I will post a picture on Monday when I get back to work with the mount in my truck.

That would be helpful of a pic for sure. :)

You'd think that a simple mount like this would be cheap to do. But if it's stable and not in the way yet easy to access if need be, and it works well...

The ProClips thing is just plastic - you simply screw into it. It's simple. Just like the image posted earlier, just screw it into the ProClips (you posted the image of it on the dash of an Escape, I believe). I've done the same thing...there are some existing pilot holes but you can drill another if the bottom doesn't line up with the hole in the mic clip (it likely won't).

The stick on mic holders have proven to be junk in my experience - the adhesive gave way when outside temps hit 90. This solution is much better and oh so simple...

Yeah I don't like the stick on either. I want it to stay in place and not fall off.

Why can't I find a place in Canada that has this sort of stuff. What sucks is the exchange rate. So the item I need/want is 29.95 plus another 19.95 or so for shipping plus exchange. I gotta ask myself. Is it worth it?
