Back of your scanner have a regular Mic clip? If so just find the vehicle mount and Mount the Mic clip holder mount to the pro clip.

Is it a good idea to have the cold air (or hot air) blowing directly on the back of the radio from a vent mount ? Just a thought of concern of mine.

Not all of the clips are clips. I honestly wouldn't recommend using vent clips however they have other devices for securing to the dash that cause no damage

Find the escape dash mount and you could do this. This is how I mount my 396xt
I remove the scanner from the holder when not in use.

Your scanner should hook into this like any other mobile radio Mic.

That looks pretty easy enough. I believe I have some mic clips kicking around here too.

Here's a quick image search to give as an example. The clip that's there. Is what I've been able to find. It's just the mounting gear I couldn't figure out to hold the radio in place.

Just need to make sure the screw holes matched up.

The screw holes won't on the pro clips. They do give you little pilot holes but you may get one screw in and then you will make a new screw hole for the next one. That was at least my experience.

Won't what? Your first sentence doesn't make sense?

Are they easy to screw into if the holes don't match up and you have to make a new one?

They won't line up perfectly with the existing screw holes.

Generally those pro clips have 2 screw holes that attach the face to the clip that attaches to the dash. Then there will be a few other pin hole size pilot holes that you use to affix your mount with customer supplied screws to that face plate.

Make sense?

Yeah I think so. Thanks for the suggestions. Unless I can figure something else out with just a mic clip. Didn't even think of those just a matter of placement with no holes drilled into the dash.

But you're saying that particular type of mic clip should work on one of these simple mounts. With the top and bottom holes to set the mic clip on the mount?

Yes it is easy if you are using the pin hole pilot holes. If not I would suggest making a pilot hole with a drill and a Tiny drill bit before trying to screw into the plastic.
