Data down load

It it possible to directly down load selective frequency data from your site to my BC 796 D?

Yes, via a software application. First you need a premium subscription (note that anything in blue is a link)...

The 2 apps that are probably the best for the 796 are ARC250 (from BuTel, available from Scanner Master) and ProScan...

Is there a step by step guide line to do this. I have the Butel ARC250 but currently down load the data one entry at a time manually.

At the top of the window click on the INTERNET menu.
click on RADIOREFERENCE WEB SERVICE
click on CONVENTIONAL IMPORT or TRUNKED SYSTEM IMPORT
Enter your RR user name and password then click CONNECT. you must be a premium subscriber as stated by ka3jjz
Select a state
Select an agency
Select a county
select or un-select the freqencies you want to import.
select the bank to import to
set the channel number to start import at
click import

When I go to the Radioreference web service page I do not see where it indicates Convential Import or trunked Import. The first page lists contents like Version 3.1, Version 1.10 (which is probably what I want). But that is as far as I can get.
I have a premium subscription and have in my computer the Butel 250ARC system.
My radio is a BC 796 D. Which from what I read I should be all set. I guess I'm just a dummy.
