I used to update once a week. Still getting the "The remote server returned an error: 229 Extended Passive Mode Entered (|||3619|)" message. Old habits (updating weekly) die hard.
That error indicates your internet provider is not allowing passive FTP protocol to go over their network. I believe both T-mobile and HughesNet are among those that do not allow FTP

The was no update yesterday for the HP1 and it isn't out there yet this morning. If you don't have an HP and/or don't bother to update then there is no need for a response. @JoeBearcat will get it resolved.

Yep... the BCDx36HP / SDSx00 Sentinel database did update, but the Home Patrol Sentinel database did not. It happens that way occasionally.

HughesNet definitely does allow FTP, but Sentinel chokes on the latency and lag times that occur with their transfers. The typical HughesNet error is...
" The operation timed out. "

I don't know if HughesNet has addressed that problem.

Thanks for the 'heads up'. I'll contact the IT guys.

Are you using T-Mobile Home for your service provider? That sounds like the typical error message you get because T-Mobile is blocking port 21 for FTP downloads that Sentinel uses. A number of users are reporting problems with that.

Check this post:

If your on T-Mobile just use the hotspot on your phone to connect the computer, then update as usual. I just did it!
