I can only hear it at home occasionally when conditions are good but I drive
through Decatur sometimes. Its a small town and there isn't much traffic on it
which makes it easy to listen to whithout being able to trunk track it.

Well you can't trunk track it, second there is only one agency that uses it which is Decatur PD, in it's self is a small town so no there is very little traffic and alot of the time it is dead.

Thanks guys. I only saw one patrol car in a four hour period - and that was in the parking lot at Starbucks.
(Yes, Decatur has a Starbucks - with drive-thru no less.)
I'm interested in testing my MPT1327 decoder for the new UniTrunker and updated T4Win programs. There aren't a lot of this type of system in the USA, much less Texas.
What time of day does the system seem most active?

Day time that is when there are the most patrol officers on duty. Might I add a few other extras about the system. The control channel has not changed in years. So if you put the regular voice channels in and scan you won't miss anything that is being said on the system.
Just don't get the county upset by driving near Aurora, geez they really get hot!, must be a secret base there or something 8)

Actually I'm working on a documentary on that very subject for the History channel. Should be out by summer. Were coming down to Aurora to recreate the crash and uncover the "Copland" mysteries as well. I just finished filming a show for them a few months ago on cattle mutes that you may have seen. I've written 3 books on the subject too.
