DeKalb County EMS

Having been out of town for the past week, I must have missed the transition from Rural Metro handling DeKalb's 911 EMS services to American Medical Response (AMR). I say that based on today hearing unit numbers like "77" and "64" as opposed to RMA's use of the Fire station numbers, e.g. Med 1 or Med 16.

Does anyone know how the units are now assigned? Impossible to tell based on the unit numbers I'm hearing.

I talked to an R/M dispatcher the other day and she said they pull out 08/31. Don't know if they are starting to transition in or not.

It sounds as though they've begun the transition, just based on this change in 911 EMS radio unit numbers.
