Just out of curiosity, how many tower sites are operating right now?
County is what the Park Police use for their daily operation. They use County on today's system as well but not many folks monitor it.And for the notes, automated dispatch has moved from Command TGID-200 to its permanent talkgroup, TGID-160.
@stevecast2024 When will TGID-224 (PD County Dispatch) be used as opposed to the sector channels, for BOLOs and such?
Ah OK, it's ID'ed differently on legacy RRDB...County is what the Park Police use for their daily operation. They use County on today's system as well but not many folks monitor it.

So the way any P25 system works, including the Delaware County and Chester County P25 systems is that any P25 (Phase 2 in this case) capable radio, no matter the brand, should be able to operate on the system. This may have been asked already, and if so I apologize for re asking, but will the Kenwood/EF Johnson radios on the Delco system be able to be used on Chester County's Harris system and vice versa, or will each mutual aid partner need that systems branded radio?

If my memory serves me, there was NOT a restriction on radio type as long as it met the minimum requirements. One thing I have found is that Delco does not play those games when it comes interoperability with neighboring counties or agencies. No one has time for that nonsense.I figured they COULD, with the P25 thing, but didn't know either counties stance on the matter.
Constant 1040Hz alert tone test on this TG nowNot a whole lot of testing logged today. Got a couple of hits about 20 minutes ago from a TGID-3, UID-100, unintelligible
Woof! It's still going on.Constant 1040Hz alert tone test on this TG now
Whistlers particularly are prone to it...Out of curiosity, is there any reason why it comes in loud & clear on my SDS200 and not at all on any of my Whistlers?
That's worse than getting an REO Speedwagon song stuck in your head...Apologies to all REO Speedwagon fans out there...
As much as I like the design of the Whistler, the SDS Scanner is a far superior receiver on P25 simulcast.Out of curiosity, is there any reason why it comes in loud & clear on my SDS200 and not at all on any of my Whistlers? I have my TG wildcard activated.
I'll try to program in TGID 3 to see if it changes anything.
It's weird. I listen to the new system all day long on my Whistlers and Unidens, but for some reason TGID 3 with the tone was not received today on the Whistlers. The tone was blasting away on my SDS200, but my TRX-1 & TRX-2 were deaf. Everything else came through fine.As much as I like the design of the Whistler, the SDS Scanner is a far superior receiver on P25 simulcast.
Hmm. Is it some kind of weird patch? It's weird. I listen to the new system all day long on my Whistlers and Unidens, but for some reason TGID 3 with the tone was not received today on the Whistlers. I'll check my programming tonight.
