I was listening to 154.800, it went quiet mid January sometime. I have (i believe) the OKWIN programmed as well but it's totally silent.

What OKWIN Site did you program and is it silent in search mode?

I'm not sure without reconnecting to my pc. I programmed using proscan software so it's hard to tell from the units display. I did program all 3 or 4 sites under delaware co in the OKWIN section but they are all silent. I attempted searching but got allot of interference

Was just about to post this same query. Have listened to both talkgroup 28432 and analog 154.800 for the past two days and heard absolutely nothing. Have both the Jay and Grove sites programmed...

Oklahoma County is quiet.

The talk groups in Oklahoma County have fallen silent on my Uniden BCT8 scanners. I have one in the office and one mobile. Both are re-banded. When I head home I start picking up Logan County talk groups at around Waterloo. I am checking my settings but still no activity on OKWIN here in OKC. When you said that Delaware County went quiet I thought we might find out what is going on with the system. This has happened before but only lasted a couple of days before activity picked back up. She is running a little longer this time.

For what its worth, I heard them on 154.800 on a Uniden 355N while mobile a few days ago...

Have you checked for a PL tone change?

The 355 does not use PL tones, so I don't know. I have an HP-2 at the house but I am too far out on the fringe to recieve and scan them for a PL at home.

Yes, on my HP-2 its 118.8. I am leaning towards them having changed their PL tone, since it was just 2 or 3 days ago that I heard them on 154.800 on a 355.

If someone over that way can scan 154.800 with a scanner that detects PL tones we can see if they indeed changed tone or not.

What kind of scanner you have?

Ok. I have an older scanner out in my shack. Turned it on yesterday and was receiving del co just fine on 154.800. It is a basic non trunking model. Why is it receiving and my bct15x won't. Same freq is programmed

It's a bct15x. See my post below though. Does the basic models not rely on pl tones? I'm now confused

If a receiver has no provision for CTCSS (a/k/a PL), then it doesn't matter what tone the agency is transmitting since the receiver isn't listening for one.

118.8 Hz reported by scanner users is often a false tone. What they are usually hearing is actually 120.0 Hz, the second harmonic of your home's ac power circuit. With a hand-held scanner, that's pretty unlikely though (unless the wallwart is plugged in).

How certain are we that the correct tone for the Delaware Co SO is actually 118.8 Hz?

The few times I have picked them at my house on my HP-2 it has been on 118.8 PL.....Again on I am on the fringe of reception over my way, so its difficult to just receive them anyway.

What we need is someone on here that lives in Delaware Co to scan for tones. The HP-2 allows you to just enter 154.800 without a tone and when a transmission it received it will display the tone that particular agency is transmitting/receiving on. I am just not close enough to consistently receive DCSO.

I don't know when I'll be over that way again either. Otherwise I would take my HP-2 mobile and find out myself.

I am not familiar with the BCT15X....

Can you just enter 154.800 with no tone and when it picks something...will it display the tone? ( Like I described with my HP-2)
