The frequency in question is 139.7125 MHz [analog FM] and I can monitor it in Maricopa County. It is not monitorable in Yavapai County near Mingus Mountain.

The DB says it is based at Childs Mountain, near Ajo and at Mount Elden, near Flagstaff, and RR members report that it was inactive about a decade ago based on earlier posts in the AZ forum. Now, it sounds as if the frequency is acting as an in-flight notification/FBO style of operations: personnel 'checking in at Nogales', 'flight time of 75 minutes', 'en route', etc. The sound quality isn't clear and I was wondering if anyone in Arizona has been able to pick it up with more clarity.

Does this mean I can hear the Wednesday net thing over these VHF repeaters too in addition to the trunked talk group on AZ PSC?
Not sure what the AZ PSC is you mention but the VHF is only linked to the other VHF repeaters on their system.

I think he means the APS trunked system that has a couple of talkgroups for DEMA.

Yeah turns out it was done in succession, which explains why I was reading differing times from different sources about the net being at 1000 and 1015 local. They do one first than the other.

Been a while since I heard the full trunked net from start to finish because our local EOC only keeps the radio on and affiliated for a few couple minutes anymore. This time my TRX1 screwed up the recording by getting the genius idea to receive 141.450 in AM modulation 😑
