One man killed in downtown fight

A fight involving several people northeast of Coors Field left one man dead Friday afternoon.

The victim was stabbed to death during the brawl at Park Avenue West and Market Street shortly before 5 p.m., detective John White, police spokesman, said. Detectives were trying to sort out the reason for the fight.

Police were searching for at least two men who were involved in the fight, the detective said. By Friday evening the victim's identity and age still had not been released.
