Detroit Officer Shot

Tuesday morning at 7 mile and Pilgrim on detroit's west side, officers were dispatched to a suspicious red escalade parked on Pilgrim, west of the southfield freeway. As officers pulled up on the scene, a black male jumped out of the car and started firing upon the officers. 1 officer was struck and is recovering, and the suspect managed to escape on foot. A dozen or so shots were fired.

News now saying suspect was found wounded inside of a detroit home. Detroit SRT were deployed with there APC to enter the suspected home.

The shooter that has been caught is now being suspected as the ringleader of the "AK-47 bandits" who have struck and robbed banks in and around metro detroit. These "bandits" robbed several banks and shot one teller.

I dont think he'll be getting out of jail any time soon... being a cop shooter and a serial bank robber.

That's weird. Usually that only happens if it's a minor. I doubt this guy is a minor, but who knows.

"The officer, a 7-year veteran, was struck in his elbow and glass flew into one of his eyes, and is now reported in good condition at Sinai Grace Hospital."
