I personally have not as I have no issues with my Pro-106 and do not want to fix what is not broken.

I was just curious as to how many others may not have upgraded as well and why you decided not to as well?

I was told that this can't be reversed. Only dsp updates can be removed. Is this true or not?

should be able to just upload 1.6 over it without a problem.
it doesnt make any big changes anyway (just small ones), so dont think it will cause major problems

+1

I can't count the number of times I've upgraded something digital & regretted it cause - it wasn't broken.

Also, to go back to the previous version, you have to have that version somewhere - where did you find 1.6?

I cant tell what happened or when it happened. But, I seemed to have noticed it after I did the upgrade. Before I would hook up my USB cable cable and hear audio while using WIN500 client from another location. Now I cant. I have to hook a audio cable to the headphones out to get audio. Before it was only the USB cable hooked to the PC/IF jack and that would also pass audio. Anyone else experience this?

Absolutely not... Audio only comes out of the audio output. The PC/IF jack only sends data.

I didn't know this little tid-bit before until I heard about it here on RR.com and tried it. I would run the PRO-197 with the USB cable only and the BCD396T into the Mic input on one laptop.
The last time I tried this was with WIN500 v1.82 and CPU 1.6. I now run WIN500 v1.86 and did the CPU upgrade to 1.7. I just tried to do the same set-up with no luck this time.

Again - you NEVER got audio out of the Pro-197 with the USB cable only.
