I want to make this not sound like an ad...so here goes...
For the last couple of years, SM editor Mike Chace-Ortiz has been republishing compendiums of his Digital Digest column in a Kindle readable e-book. It's quite cheap - USD4 a pop - and has quite a bit of information in them beyond the common stuff (hams and the like), these pubs go a long way in giving you a sample of what can be heard.
It's very informative, even if you're just getting started in this side of the hobby. It's available from Amazon - search on Mike's name or Digital Digest and you're bound to come up with it
For USD4 (there is a new 2015 edition), it's well worth the read
