Hello,
While I am really impressed with the analog sensitivity of the PSR-500, as well as the reception of the only APCO-25 trunked system in my area (in Mass, near RI), I practically had to drive to the town line of N. Attleboro, MA (470.8875) and Pawtucket, RI (470.7250), to even receive anything on their single frequency (i.e. not a TRS). I programmed a CONV object for each, and once I was in range and heard two-way conversation (and stored their respective NACs), I tried enabling/disabling the AGC and SuperTrack settings to improve the audio performance, but to no avail...
Has anyone else had to modify any advanced settings to improve conventional P-25 reception? If so, what did you do? I am hearing most of the conversation, but the audio sounds like background noise is being encoded with voice making it difficult to hear...
