Digital scanner help (pro106)

was curious if its possible to set the scanner to alert you when the volume is down of a fire pager ...like so if i have my volume down and my local fire department gets paged out can i have it alert me of only the page not normal radio traffic... hopefully this makes sense

No, I don't think the PRO-106 has that feature.

rt169 is correct, the scanner does not support that. Some Uniden scanners do.

The 106 can sound an alrarm when a certain freq. is being used. So if you Fire page that you want to hear is the only one broadcast on that freq. or is the only one that uses that particular PL tone then it will work. Like the others have stated if you want it to alarm when it detects a certain two tone page then no this wont do it. I have some alarms set and you can hear them go off when the volume is down low. The volume position doesn't seem to effect the loudness of the alarm tone.

The Tone Out feature on the Uniden models works only when manually set on one frequency, not scanning, I believe.

If you just want to hear the page look at buying a used pager off of several sights and set it up to the page you are trying to get.
