134.475 ZFW-42 McALESTER TX

Sure would be nice if someone could confirm.

BMT

I'll confirm. 134.475 is at TXK and MLC. ZFW42 is the high altitude sector ("DECOD") that feeds the low altitude sector ("Blue Ridge" 124.875) DFW area arrivals through the "Bonham" gate. The controller will switch between MLC and TXK as needed for lower altitude traffic. TXK seems the default site most chosen by the controllers.

If you are looking for the MLC RCAG, go to the airport, then look West across Hwy 69, it's right there on top of the hill. In IFR weather, a pilot can call the Center (132.2) from the ramp to get clearance. If you're not hearing the 132.2 controller in MLC, it's probably because he/she is using the RCAG at OKM. 135.45 is only at MLC, and serves high altitute traffic over the MLC area.

He is right about OKM 132.2. Most of the time 132.2 is at MLC. 135.45 stays at MLC. Have not heard controller on 134.475 on either TXK or MLC, but maybe I need to remain in the areas for 24 hours. Somebody in Sulphur Springs could probably confirm (Cumby) 134.475. FAA radio man stated that in the future 126.575 and 134.475 will probably return to TXK once a new site is improved.

In the year 2000 126.575 was always at TXK. Use to listen to it while sitting in the hotel room. It is no longer there now, though. Only 123.925 is. Old low TXK was 133.925 until they moved it to mid-high at TUL.

On top of Talimena? scenic drive east of Talihina, Ok, and heard 338.35 and 135.45 and 132.2 from MLC. No 134.475 or associated UHF heard at MLC. 2200MSL. 134.475 has to be coming from Texas but it is not Texarkana. Listened today and enjoyed the views. 122.6FSS McAlester was active, too, from Rich Mountain VOR as well as 122.00 FlightWatch. Could be coming from Marshall, Cumby, Paris or Big Spring as far as 134.475 is concerned. Even Bonham?

Well. on RR it shows 126.575 at Cumby and 134.475 at Paris on the high altitude charts. 128.125 was again used today by a ZFW controller for a Southwest flight from Atlanta to Phoenix in the MLC area. Notice also that the High Altitude ZFW chart over OKC shows 135.27 for aircraft above 36,000. I still hear the ZFW controller on 363.1 in OKC with civilian aircraft reply on 132.45 based at Clinton- Sherman. Heard it last week, Profile Descent. ZFW has been doing that for years there. Able to hear it in Norman with ease. FYI. RR needs to change the 126.575 and 134.475 from TXK. to the other sites. Only 123.925 is based at TXK now.

No longer is the TXK site used except for 123.925.

We had this discussion the other day about ultra-high OKC area. Anybody heard 135.175 at OKC or Clinton-Sherman? Also, my KHRO feed is down for good unless anybody from around KHRO cares to want to be a host. As soon as manager goes home, feed goes down and it went down for good today. No more aviation KHRO feed. Only ham radio club at Harrison, Ark. is through Facebook and I do not use it. Any volunteers let me know. Also need a volunteer for Paris, Texas for ZFW 134.475. I furnish the equipment, scanner, everything. Has to be at least one pilot in Paris who is interested. No computer is needed=raspberry pi hooked into a always-on router.

Thanks.

Profile,

128.125 is no longer active. Why? For two weeks at MCL I had fantastic success having three tiers of ZFW at KMCL. Now it is gone. What happened? Got any friends in Paris, TX who will be a feed host? 134.475 was hopping today. I just can't find a feed host--I furnish the scanner and raspberry, ups, etc. Ultra highs just don't disappear. Maintenance or moved to say, Paris, OKM or TXK? Shame that it is gone now.
