is this a second pre-release firmware, or the same one being discussed?

OK....I got my DMR key, updated the firmware on Sentinel, and had it write to the 536 and 436. Problem is
when I go to settings and upgrade, all I see is Provoice..no DMR/MOTOTrbo.

What am I doing wrong?

Only everything, John. To install the beta firmware you need to download the zip file mentioned NUMEROUS times here and follow the directions found in the twiki page mentioned here too.

You can not use Sentinel YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THE ZIP FILE READ THE DIRECTIONS 1ST THEN FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS 100%.

I have both dmr and provoice upgrades, yes

No this is the old firmware and ARC536 is not UNIDEN X36 FIRMWARE. It is BuTel Software for the X36 scanners.

actually, i think he is... I had asked if the link he provided was the old firmware, or new firmware.. he also indicated that the ARC program is not the uniden firmware.

Just FYI,

I've had some good luck with the latest release of the ARC536PRO software. I am not currently an owner of the software, using the 14-day trial, but the latest release, even though not finalized, has helped me clean up my messy radio and I've been able to program some new systems and frequencies with it

Although, I am now well versed on programming by hand

That's one good thing about this DMR pre-release firmware, we are all going to be proficient and programming the scanners by hand. That's something I haven't done until now!
