I would give a quick key to each System to isolate it to the OFT system. If that doesn't change anything, I'd try programming a new system with it's own quick key as a MotoTRBO trunk system. Give the frequency that's active as LCN-1.
I've read this reply a few times, but I'm failing to understand the reasoning for all the steps. In regards to the quick keys, what effect would they have if I have only 1 FL, and 3 systems in it as shown, and hold on each one at a time? I had been holding on the conventional, and when I heard activity, swap to the OFT by turning the top knob? I would continue hearing audio on the AT radio, but nothing on the SDS100. Is there a secret function unlocked by using quick keys? I have other OFT systems it successfully monitors without them?
I have it programmed as a MotoTRBO trunk with 1 frequency, CC search, LCN of 0 to start. As a point of clarification and after using the radio and reading other responses from Ubbe, Jon Wienke, and others, I thought I understood the differences as such.
Conventional - Monitors the channel only in regards to PL / DPL / RAN / CC / NAC. If it has a valid squelch release code to match, it will pass unencrypted digital or analog audio and decode in the proper format. There is no limiting different TG's if the CC / RAN / NAC match. If it's a CAP+ system, it can hang on the beacon.
OFT - Add's TG limiting to the conventional format. Can be used to monitor a TG across multiple IP Site Connect style, or multiple TG's on a single site, or both. Does not handle CAP+ / CON+ DMRT3 trunking formats. Cannot be used on a single frequency shared CAP+ repeater.
MotoTrbo Trunk - Used to monitor single or multiple frequencies across CAP+ / CON+ /XPT / DMRT3 formats. Must analyze system to get correct channel map / LSN / LCN. Can Trunk track talkgroups with this method.
If my summaries are vastly wrong, please correct me. I fell out of the hobby for some years, have been playing catch up for 3 years, and most of what I have learned above is by trial and error and reading / trying to learn here.
The reason I put those summaries is to understand your diagnostics steps better. I'm failing to understand how a DMR Slot1 would decode or analyze any data on a simplex or DCDM or single repeater. Will MotoTRBO trunk mode return any results, or are you expecting it to stay silent? Are you expecting it to be a unrecognized trunking format that OFT can't decode?
