I've been monitoring the WI DNR Wisconsin Rapids Fire Control channels from the Fox Valley for the past few days, and I've noticed that the pattern of the 5th and 6th digits conforming to the county code seems to not just be confined to the base radios, but mobile and portables as well. Here's what I've logged:
TG 617 WI DNR Wisconsin Rapids Fire Control (WISCOM TG)
8210011 I'm guessing they erroneously keyed this channel, since Rapids uses the conventional channel rather than the TG. Based on the radio ID, looking at the 3rd, 5th, and 6th digits, (xx1x01x) I'm guessing it is a portable assigned to a unit based in Adams County.

Anyone else notice this pattern in DNR RIDs?
