...and if so, are you happy with the $$$ you spent? I currently have 2 SDS200's and a SDS100 (which is acting wonky right now...). Considering upgrading to the SDS150 and I am looking for a thumbs up or down or wait until...... At over $900 depending on discounts I'm a little skittish on the brand new model.

It was expensive but so far I am happy. Analog is much better and I have several P25 P2 systems that required the filtering on the 100. They all just work with no adjustments on the 150. Looking forward to trying the GPS on a trip as well as the Bluetooth.

My new SDS150 is flanked by 3 SDS100's and 3 SDS200's and yes I am very happy with my SDS150 as I posted in the Thread already for the SDS150 that SOME HATER WILL BUY ONE OR A WIFE WILL FOUND OUT and I will have a 2nd SDS150 cheaper than outright buying the 2nd one now.
The logic behind this is flawless.

Pros
Analog sounds way better than sds100

Screen is brighter, better color management than sds100

Charge cradle scanner holder . Less falling better charging presentation for extra battery . Could be your base scanner as well as handheld without the need or want for a sds200 or other

Feels oddly better in my hands than the sds100

GPS built in and works

Bluetooth connectivity iPads, iPhones and androids from those devises to your headphones, earbuds etc

The over all sound is what I noticed to be better . I have moderate to severe hearing loss from the service and I can understand transmitting better than when using the sds100.

do I recommend? Yes , I was going to wait but glad I didn’t . What if the sky falls tomorrow?

Happy scanning

I just received my SDS150, opened the box, put it on the charger and updated Sentinel. I see it has the fat bottom battery that was a big debate about when the SDS100 first arrived, and Uniden had to enlarge the original slim battery to last an acceptable time. As 918Dave stated, an extra battery and a 250 I would bet will be released in the near future as with the 200. I will also be looking for a case to be released for the 250.

I can see I will definitely have to read the manual. The scanner is not recognized and does not automatically go into update mode when I connect it to my computer like all the other SDS and BCD scanners. Any quick advice is appreciated.

Make sure you have the latest Sentinel version. At the top of your Sentinel program, choose the 150 as target model, then do the updates.

When you plug it into the computer do you get a screen on the scanner asking if you want to go into mass storage?

I finally got a Low USB Bus Voltage message but not recognized by my computer. Does not show up in This Computer page of my computer like the other scanners and external drives.
