Starting to feel like the old MPT-1327 system. All the control channels making their noise, but nothing else. When the radio techs talk it sounds good (when in the clear). That's a good question. only answer i have is they may have run into issues, causing a delay in the Trunking system going live.
"Either this year or early next", did you hear this from someone? True some sites are hard to get to in the winter. But this past winter wasn't all that bad. Also, these are the same sites they already occupy and recently upgraded the Vhf system. So roads are in, electricity is available, towers, equipment shacks and so on. All sites have other users to beside D.C..Well, they have 18 sites they had to set up and a few of them were closed during the winter months. It just taking little longer, but its going to be on line either this year or early next.
Yesterday there was about a dozen transmissions in the afternoon. All but one was "e" and it was from someone identifying themselves as the highest person from a "city" user in the first group of users that will use the new system.Ok, after a little chatting with someone, the switch isn't delayed, they are working on completing the optimization of the VHF system, before cutting over to the new TRS. This is likely because, they will be patching the Law Talk groups to the vhf Law channels. Again a timeline wasn't given, so i would say that its likely happening this year.
