Feel like I have a shadowđź‘€. Thanks.

I would love to see the video mentioned in the narrative. As the report was released, the investigation was closed, the video should be a matter of public record.

Not much radio chatter any more, seems as if nothing to do or say unless there is a crash.

All blending into the daily noise.
Most of the radio chatter about the drone sightings on NJICS was on the aviation, division call talk groups... The communications moved to encrypted talk groups... All of these actions to keep all drone interactions private encrypted and away from the public view by NJSP are very interesting.... Maybe some FOIA investigations will be required...

Drones had the night off for Christmas Eve. Pilots must've had their annual holiday get-together. I live in a non-FAA restricted area where they're a daily occurrence. Let's see if they're off tonight too. Merry Christmas!
The same thing happened on Thanksgiving. No drone sightings. Makes you think.....

When I refer to radio chatter I mean many many systems and conventional channels here, solely in New Jersey. I am 100 certain, radio traffic way down since inception.

At peak on Someset TRS PD1 was a perfect example of the Hysteria. A classic below.

Dispatch: Cars we have a caller that is bedridden, she heard a noise and is insisting a drone is in a tree in the back yard. Respond and investigate.

I saw an interview with the superintendent of the New Jersey State Police who claims drone reports are way down because many people have downloaded aircraft tracking apps and now realize these are not drones they are aircraft and helicopters....

Probably are, but the vids & picks of them flying in ways that planes and choppers can't are out there.
And the fact that the government first said that it's not happening, then they said that it is but they're harmless, and then they pulled that no-fly zone over sensitive infrastructure areas, makes you wonder.

RR PSA:

I would like to encourage anyone who sees these things on a regular basis to do us all a solid and please take some pictures and/or videos and post them on here.

If you don't have the appropriate equipment or knowledge, let me know and I will do what I can to span that gap for you.

99% of these drone sightings were manned aircraft helicopters or stars. People lost interest. Believe me all conspiracy theorists are still going strong. Just check out the blogs on social media

Yeah I avoid social media for just that reason. Believe it or not, RR is about as deep into it as I get.

I figure a report coming from someone who is a regular on these boards is at least on the level of a halfway rational observer.

Maybe they found what they were looking for...

Oh come now, does anyone ever?

Yes we are happy to report that the drones have located the leprechaun and his pot of gold - we now have to dispose of 10,000 boxes of Lucky Charms cereal dropped by the drones at various target locations to get his attention.

Yeah that's the one that Kevin closed after a very long time of BS. I was involved with that earlier.. I have not looked at that thread since, I guess I should, we certainly have moved along in the news cycle regarding this issue LOL.

I can say that from this NJ QTH, one of the zones that isn't drone restricted, the number of drones seen nightly has gone way down. Plus other recent national events have taken priority. It was fun while it was happening though hihi.

Mysterious drones now reported to be flying illegally over Gabreski Airport

Suffolk County wants to put a stop to unauthorized drones flying over restricted airspace

Suffolk County wants to put a stop to unauthorized drones flying over restricted airspace.
The Suffolk County Sheriff's Office says 28 drones have been spotted flying over or near Gabreski Airport in Westhampton Beach since the middle of December.

On Dec. 17, a flight was delayed because four drones were spotted in the flight path. Like the drones reported flying over the rest of the tri-state area, Suffolk officials say the drones flying over Gabreski Airport are a mystery. They say they will now be using mobile detection technology to try to identify them.

"We want people to understand the dangers. Are their drones registered? Do they realize the airspaces they can and cannot fly in?” said Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon Jr.

Suffolk officials say this technology will hopefully help them find out where these drones are taking off from and who is flying them. They're also calling on the FBI and the Federal Aviation Administration to help.

"It's definitely concerning. I feel like somebody knows something, and we should know that,” said Julia Hasley, of Flanders.
Suffolk officials say if you know about any drones flying illegally, report it to local law enforcement.

The Suffolk Sheriff's Office says they will be implementing the mobile detection system at Gabreski Airport as soon as the end of the day.

Not mentioned in the story is that,

I’m tired of deleting the off topic comments so warnings are being issued now. Sorry, but you brought it upon yourselves.

As a reminder again, again…this thread is about sightings and related radio traffic.

Drones probably have some sort of camera that sends a video stream, so that would be it's only transmit source. So are they using a WiFi point to point connection at either 2,4GHz or 5GHz for the camera as well as controlling the drone or some other unique frequency? To be able to locate a transmitter you would need to triangulate using several receiver locations and hope that they do not use any frequency hopping RF links, that you can get from some cheap Baofeng type of radios.
