What a long strange trip this thread has been since inception.
Back to RF again. Radar, yes drone detection, while there are some detection devices with various capabilities and designs deployed, the big money is rolling in. Lockheed Martin will deploy (5) radar sites soon. I will be running this down a bit more, Bob understands.🤣
Since we know the press is scraping RR, how long until this hits the cycle? 🤷🏻♂️
Well the guest said it all.. they are either United States government or a foreign entity. So we have statements today from the media, what is the frequency?
Numerous quotes (Google)reportedly have the NJSP saying drones are not
transmitting any RF at all.
I would suspect this is why we see new systems being deployed like in post #353.
What is the frequency?🤷🏻♂️
Autonomous would not be turning lights off or dodging helicopters, that would be controlled by live people. Most drones cannot turn off all if its lights remotely, some still stay illuminated for safety. Someone would have to make internal changes to the drone to remotely turn off all the lights.Reports indicate these drones are autonomous, controlled by predetermined flight coordinates programmed by computer and guided by GPS.
And with all the other crap on those bands there is no way you could tell with only a spectrum analyzer what was coming from a drone.I believe most drone control frequencies are frequency hopping spread spectrum in either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz wifi bands. The carrier is very spread out and at any distance would be almost impossible to see on a spectrum analyzer. I have a few drone controllers here and will verify that maybe later today.
No, any signals from a geostationary or LEO satellite over a spot beam would cover an area at least several hundred miles across. Did you read the part about people must be in direct control of these things to see helicopters approaching to do evasive maneuvers and turning the lights off? Whoever is controlling them is probably within visual sight of them. These are not huge long range military Predator or Reaper drones with sophisticated sensors and cameras controlled over satellite, they sound more like commercial hobby type drones. Is there any other form of (tight directional?) signal that could be transmitted by a satellite to control these things?
If they are not operated by the US mil do you think they have the equivalent cameras, sensors, radios and infrastructure to operate them as shown in the picture above? That would be a staggering amount of $$ in equipment and manpower. A large US company or foreign govt would have it, so is that what your implying? There have been numerous reports from public safety officials, helicopter pilots, and the New Jersey State Police indicating these are not small hobbyist or commercial type drones. Some are approximately 6 ft to 10 ft in diameter.
I am implying absolutely nothing. I am simply quoting what the New Jersey State Police as well as helicopter pilots have said in interviews. Everyone can come to their own conclusions. If they are not operated by the US mil do you think they have the equivalent cameras, sensors, radios and infrastructure to operate them as shown in the picture above? The way I see this is there are some facts that are known like these drones have been reported to avoid helicopters and they have turned lights off and some are large, still possibly being hobby or commercial drones but no proof of any military origin. Those facts can be used to rule out some things.I am implying absolutely nothing. I am simply quoting what the New Jersey State Police as well as helicopter pilots have said in interviews. rr60 do you wish to report a UFO?.. I repeat do you wish to report a UFO?I saw the first one tonight. I am qualified. Credentialed in many ways.
Time about 7:30pm. Conditions sky clear, no wind, visibility unlimited.
Going by me Newark arrivals 4000’ and above Sweet, Gritty, ILS4R.
Star Gazing with little moonlight and from East to West it appeared 300’-400’ AGL at about 20MPH it went.
It was lit but not like a hobby drone, just barely visible with 4 very dim white lights. No green, no red. Maybe 4-6’ based on spacing of lights.
No sound, none, zero, I found that remarkable, in fact unusual. Have at it!
And no I did not file a report.🤷🏻♂️
Well that's interesting. No attempt to get videos or photos?I saw the first one tonight. I am qualified. Credentialed in many ways.

As sophisticated as today's phone cameras are and as long as your strobe or Flash is turned off of Auto, only to be used when you call for it, if you ever come upon a phenomena like this press the phone and your face up against a tree, it'll actually give you an exposure of 2 to 3 seconds without motion. Just saying. No, as soon as in sight, out of sight, maybe 10 seconds. The UAV lighting was intentionally just barely visible. A high quality camera on a tripod just might
capture. High quality stealth. A phone camera no way. Like a ghost might be.
