Well, I wouldn't criticize too hard, there. These developers aren't exactly making some ton of money. Their level of technical expertise and time commitment would likely make you a decent living in a career. What rubs me wrong on here is how posters reply back like you're an idiot (when you're not doing anything wrong) and tell you oh, just read Notes.txt. It's all right there.

I have fast lane. When i open it, it tells me there is a update. It does download the update to a zip file. I can open the zip file but when i double click to install it i get a error. Same with the text doc in the folder. Any suggestions? I can not get it do update. I paid for the year of service which is still valid till july 2025

There is no "install", you simply replace the DSDPlus.exe file with the new one. The zip file is password protected, so you need to use something like 7-Zip to open it properly, not Windows file explorer. And you should already have your password from when you initially paid for Fast Lane.

I have my theories on who the developer(s) are. Maybe im right. Maybe im wrong. Who cares. Why is it so important for the individual/individuals to come forward?

Unfortunately if you used the Event log in the past to review activity during unattended scanning you now have no record of frequency and code/tone because the -E option was removed and not added to the menu. If there was voice, you can get the Mode and DCC/NAC/RAN from there but that is all.

Okay, so now that this was also removed without any mention of how to get around it, do you know how to get that logging back or have any workarounds?

It was pretty important to log in to the event file, especially with DMR/NXDN systems that have a lot of information.

I have voice for this, but no record of DCC, Frequency, System Type, or mode. This is what shows up in my log file:

Only if you’re misguided and believe that I’m the one who authored this stuff. I couldn’t code my way out of a paper bag. I didn’t make it past Fortran knowledge in college

I didn't say you were the coder haha. I just said you could get it faster - meaning you owned the website and database and knew who it was. I have my suspension on who it is and I'm pretty sure I'm correct, but knowing that information doesn't get me anything

I have now have a DSDPlus Scan folder with the previous version for monitoring the non trunked stuff. Unfortunately that is the only workaround I know.

Every update I save the rar files. I save the previous files changed by appending .og or .bak to the filename so if there's issues I can swap back quickly. Sucks only the newest version has the server enabled though.
