Quick question here.

I just recently got into the Fastlane program and started actually modifying the .frequencies file, for a more fulfilling monitoring experience!

But DMR Capacity Plus systems don't seem to broadcast a System ID, so what do I put in that field when adding Cap+ info to the .frequencies file?

Thanks!

If the system is not in the DB, make up a SID such as 9999. Then use that SID to associate that system in DSDplus.Networks, DSDPlus.Sites and DSDPlus.Frequencies.

If the system is in the DB, navigate to the system -- look at the URL and use the SID referenced in the URL.

EX: TRIconneX Connect Plus (WV-PA-OH) Trunking System, WV-PA-OH, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies
- that's SID 7147 in the DB
- so that is what somebody should probably use if they are entering TriConnex into DSDPlus

It can be any [sensible] SID. But it's best, for sake of making sense of it down the road, to tie it to a DB SID if one exists.

And no, that SID= in the URL has nothing to do with the SID broadcast by a system. That's just the 7147th trunked system in the DB I guess.

That is actually buried somewhere in the notes. I refer to them as "Pseudo System IDs".

Just remember if you build more than one CAP+ system, assign a different ID to each one. Otherwise DSDPlus will get awfully confused.

Here's an example (not the only way to do it):

Cap+, 9993, 1, 1, 462.22500, 462.22500, 0
Cap+, 9993, 1, 2, 462.22500, 462.22500, 0
Cap+, 9993, 1, 3, 462.50000, 462.50000, 0
Cap+, 9993, 1, 4, 462.50000, 462.50000, 0

Cap+, 9993, 1, 4, 462.50000, 462.50000, 0

Don't forget to provide a full example -- what goes in DSDPlus.Networks, what goes in DSDPlus.Sites, and what goes in DSDPlus.Frequencies.

The above was from DSDPlus.Frequencies.

DSDPlus.Networks:

Cap+, 9993, "International Mall"

DSDPlus.Sites"

Cap+, 9983, 1, "Marriott Waterside Tampa"

You only need to put the repeater out frequency in once per row.

Cap+, 9993, 1, 1, 462.22500, 0.0, 0
