DSDPlus DSD+ FL 2.465 and TIII Error

I seem to be having trouble with the latest versions of DSD+ and TIII. I just realized that you can download TIII systems from the RRDB.

Besides the point, I imported a bunch of Information and I keep getting the following errors. I am not sure If I am configuring TIII correctly or if this a RRDB issue..

There is nothing anyone can do for you unless you show us some of what you imported into DSDPlus.Networks, .sites, and .frequencies. You could attach all three files or post bits of them relevant to a particular system. But in order to tell you how to fix it we have to see exactly what's wrong. I mean it says what is wrong. But we need to see if its just a formatting issue or if there really is a missing network model. And it would not be surprising if there is a missing Network Model depending upon the system. THe ability for an admin to add the Network model into the RRDB for a particular system is a newer thing. There are likely tons of older TIIII systems in the DB that do not have the Network Model included.

You have your work cut out for you. From what I can tell:

MRC: L6
Point to Point: missing model / network ID
Alectra: 2 - missing network model
FastNet: 19 - missing network model
Toronto City Services: 16 - missing network model

Tier III systems have a Network Model (S/L/H and maybe one other) and a Network ID. Out of those five systems, only one lists both the Network Model and Network ID.

So you are going to have to monitor the control channel of at least site on each of the last four systems and get both the Network Model and Network ID before you ccan even begin to set DSDPlus up to properly trunk. So start there.

And if you do get all of the information that is missing four latter systems, please submit an update to the DB requesting that the admin update the Network Model and/or Network ID.

And once you have submitted the missing network model / network id where there is one missing, and the admin adds it to the DB, then hopefully the admin will change the Network ID to include the network model. In order for the DSDPlus files to show what they need to show, the Network ID needs to continue the Network Model letter in it.

For instance, for the MRC sites, we know its L6 (Network Model L, Network ID 6). You could just replace

TIIInonStd,6,1,1005,420.2875,0.0,0

with

TIIInonStd,L6,1,1005,420.2875,0.0,0

for all of the MRC entries in DSDPlus.frequencies and DSDPlus.sites. You'll still get errors/warnings for all of the other sites you imported but you can either comment the other sites/systems out or delete them until you get the full network/site IDs.

And you should add a line to your DSDPlus.Networks file such as:

Thanks. I submitted the S10 dec for Toronto City Services and L13 dec for FastNet, since the SystemID field in the DB supports the Network model being added, and since the systems showed 10 hex and 13 hex rather than 10 dec and 13 dec.

Yes, @mciupa did. So you should be able to download the DSDPlus files for those two and they should work..
