Is there any ways to use GNURadio TCP sink to pipe audio into DSD-FME instead of SDR++?
For trunking system, I'm implementing some new feature for my DSD-FME like neighbour site roaming and new site hunting, to make it more like a real trunk radio that enable us to automatically discover and roam to neighbour site when we travel. To achieve that, I need to use GNURadio to measure neighbour channel's signal strength in the background, to find the best neighbour to camp on, then feed the audio to DSD-FME for decoding.
And here is the problem, I tried with GNURadio TCP sink to pipe my demodulated audio into DSD-FME, but DSD-FME cannot get a sync to the signal. Instead, if I replace the TCP sink with audio sink and pipe with virtual audio cable, it work flawlessly. I prefer to use TCP sink as the input to DSD-FME because it enables us to monitor multiple channel within the entire SDR baseband simutaniously. I'm a beginner to GNURadio, is there anyone succeessfully pipe audio into DSD-FME through GNURadio's TCP Sink?

Ok i have watched videos to port SDR++ to DSD-FME getting some but minimal progress? If i just run SDR++ with RTL dongle and start the program I can't get the speaker to un mute to save my life? I downloaded the win64 version from beginning of the year. Think its the latest?

If I go and set up sinks connection to port 7355 or 4532 once in a while I get a connected? to SDR-FME But program never turns green I assume its because I don't have any audio passing through?
What am I missing or doung wrong?

NEVER MIND! After lots and lots of hours turns outthe SRD++ version from the beginning of the year no work? Got a new copy from two weeks ago and it now works....

To use SDR++, try:
"options= -ft -U4532 -T -G group.csv -K multi_key_hex.csv -P -N -Z 2> log.ans "
TCP audio is optional for input. "options= -ft -U4532 -i tcp -T -G group.csv -K multi_key_hex.csv -P -N -Z 2> log.ans "

Be sure to setup RIGCTL and optionally SINKS if using TCP input.
Thought I was good? I can control via sdr++ but no analog or digital audio out? Do you have any guidence?
Used ports like in your pictures. set "options= -ft -U 4537 -i tcp -T -G group.csv -K multi_key_hex.csv -P -N -Z 2> log.ans"

Ok to you experts. I can't seem to get DSD-FME to trunk track using SDR++?
If i sit on the CC I get some txt showing who is talking to a point?
If I sit on an audio channel I get the audio and the yellow data.
I'm using "options= -f1 -U 4532 -i tcp -K multi_key_hex.csv -8 -9 -P -N -Z 2> log.ans" this in the SDR-portable. bat file. I believe I need the -K multi_key_hex.csv. But not sure on the rest what I need and don't need?
Can someone please help?

A quick google search....

"-K multi_key_hex.csv"

I assume you have encryption key/s set up for monitoring an encrypted voice channel ? Encryption would mysteriously not allow you to hear the audio.

"I get the audio and the yellow data."

Not sure what you mean. Yellow font colour is typical of an encrypted signal (I think).....

I keep reading till i'm blind? I'm either missing something? or using SDR++ in windows with the portable version I cant seem to get them both to switch back and fourth between a data channel and a voice channel I get one or the other?
Was wondering if I have to have two dongles set up?

"Was wondering if I have to have two dongles set up?"

Nope. Just one required for trunking.

SDR++ ===> DSD-FME

Or dsd-fme can access an rtl dongle (or whathaveyou) directly.

Both scenarios, just one dongle.

And before we go there.... "dsd-fme.exe -h"

dsd-fme.exe -h this was more helpful so far I only saw older example one.

Ok for you SDR++ experts? I use sdr++ to try and change systems or spikes on the screen i want to investigate and DSD-FME is up running too
and it seems to me that some ware data is chashed or wrote kind of locking me on the system i was watching not letting me go explore? Can I go explore and if so how?

Thanks.

I figured it out have to use T to stop trunking mode..

Broken Arrow, OK
Relatively new to using DSD-FME...
Looking through the help file and online and cannot seem to figure this out.
Is there a way to use two dongles to track a T3 or NXDN system? One for CC to command the other to the voice channels? I miss a lot of traffic on a NXDN system using just one dongle.

No.

DSD-FME uses just one dongle directly, or can be configured to talk with SDR++. I prefer using SDR++ with it.

There are example .bat files provided. Just read, read, read.

ps.

From the dsd-fme filder run :

dsd-fme -h >Output.txt

This will show commands as well as outputting the commands into a text file named: 'Output.txt'.
