DSD - mbe data file creation

I noticed that there is a setting in DSD to create a "mbe data file" .... Anyone use this setting? What data does it capture and what format is the file created in?

While I don't use DSD, according to the link below, has something to do with MBE speech synthesis.

You could look into DSD and libmbe source code to see how it's formatted.
Chances are if you don't know what it is, you don't need it.

Instead of recording audio as a WAV or MP3 file, the original MBE speech codec bits are used.
