Could be a memory problem, especially if using DSDPlus with SDRSharp. After SDRSharp has been running for a while (especially after a lot of tuning around), it starts throwing protected memory errors.

I'm not using SDRSharp, I'm using a Winradio G39 with its VSC virtual cable.

Hi,

Has anyone figured out how to turn on file logging when running DSDPlus from within SDR#. Thanks in advance.

Also, for a future version I think it would be nifty to be able to toggle logging on and off via a smart key. It appears audio logging can be toggled from there; I haven't tried that yet.

Thanks again, it's working superbly here on numerous setups.

I understand that, thanks, but I'm not seeing how to make it happen when running DSDPlus from the DSD interface plugin within SDR#. It works fine standalone. If I try to add that command to the "Auxiliary Options" section of the plugin's config file it crashes. I don't see a provision elsewhere for launching it. I am using the latest DSD Interface for SDR# released to support this new version of DSDPlus.

Obviously this is not a DSDPlus issue. I thought someone might have the answer here; I'll post in the SDR# Yahoogroup. Thanks.

If you are using a usb SDR & SDR# make sure you are on center of the channel. If not center on the channel use the SDR# setup to change the frequency offset correction. That fixed it when I had the same issue. Mine is set to 26.

I am geting errors and no data here is what i am seeing.

I can confirm that 1.51 is displaying erroneous free channels for IDAS trunking. Just about every frequency I decode spits out bogus channels, plus should not show 31 since it's not a valid voice channel. And as far as I know there should only be one (## + 0) or two free channels announced per frame (Per docs I've read).

For the DSD plugin to SDRSharp, if you want to use other than default parameters, then you need to create a batch file containing the desired command line, then make sure the plugin points to the batch file via it's configuration screen under the "Path" option.

OK, so it looks like it doesn't quite get to 24 hours for the decoding part. In the attached photo you can see it showing the "Muting encrypted voice" message. I started it around 8 am yesterday, and the event log stops at 2 am. It's not going off center of the frequency, because I'm continually running UniTrunker and if I quit and then start DSD+ right away it starts decoding again fine right away. If it was drifting off frequency, it would remain after restarting.

I noticed a huge (228MB) voice file in my DSD+ folder, but can't find a way to disable recording. Is there a command switch to use for that? I want to try that as part of the troubleshooting to see if the output to a .wav file is causing an issue.

My shortcut I use to start it is: DSDPlus.EXE -f1 -o1

Look in the help file, the majority of the command switches are there.

Can you use the DSD tune with the output of this version? Want to dial it in some but so far it is has been working quite well with just basic switches.

I have not had time to test and make any needed updates to dsdtune. So right now I am not sure if it's working with the new version or not. I should be able to work on it this week.

First of all, many thanks to the developers!

One question: I noticed that the SRT files no longer contains the radioID. I am using DSDplus to monitor a MotoTRBO system and it was working fine before upgrading to the latest version.

Am I the only one experiencing this issue?

Thanks,

Just had an idea. With the newest version I've been using the -v4 option. I just removed it and restarted DSDplus. I'll keep you posted.

Hi,

I would like to know what does mean "GROUP_REJ" on a Nexedge Control Channel.
Is it Group Reject?

Thanks,
Keven
Sounds like it's the same as the rejection on other types of trunking systems - a subscriber radio is trying to affiliate to a site with a talkgroup that is not allowed on the site. Either the radio is from some foreign system and the talkgroup it's using isn't programmed on the system, or the talkgroup the radio uses just isn't allowed on that particular site. Users of commercial networked systems pay for local or wide area coverage - only pay for local and you can't roam too far; if you do, GROUP REJ...

I tried without -v4 and I still can't get the RadioIDs in the SRT file...

Thanks,

It had been about 36 hours when I left this morning and it was still decoding fine. So it appears there's an issue with the encoding part of the program. The next thing I could test would be to try the switch for making a new audio file every * minutes. That will have to be next week though, unless someone else wants to try it in the meantime that was having the same issue with it running constantly.
