I am using the format shown in the bottom of the quoted post and it seems to work fine with fmp24, except if it hits a control channel. It does not resume scanning. It also wont switch to AM unless AM is in the freq string.
The same format does not work with fmpa. It keeps scanning no matter what, and will not switch to am when there is an aircraft comm even if those 4 are set for AM..
What I am testing with. The first 7 are p25. 8 and 9 are nxdn (no activity yet). And the last 4 are airband.. Both fmp24.scanlist and fmpa.scanlist are exactly the same inside..
Code:170.75000 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 Sec 1 408.20000 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 sec 2 408.17500 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 UNKNOWN 171.97500 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 BNL 171.81250 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 BNL n141 171.62500 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 Fire Island 172.07500 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 Boston 452.65625 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 E I 1 461.68125 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 E I 2 125.70000 AM BW=12.5 DELAY=2 Airport 135.80000 AM BW=12.5 DELAY=2 air 135.90000 AM BW=12.5 DELAY=2 air 129.15000 AM BW=12.5 DELAY=2 air
Control channels are not usually included because they are continuous broadcast and so the scan will hold on it indefinitely. The others will hold until voice activity ceases. I do not use FMPA so I don't know about that.
