i1 was showing as in use, there was no i0 shown, and the system had automatically detected/configured to use i2.
i0 wont be shown, which is why it gets added to the bat file replacing i1 or i2. Nothing will automatically configure i2. That can only be done by editing the bat file. By default, i1 is what's in the fmp24-cc.bat.

Setting i2 in the batch file saves a little time.
How many dongles do you have?

I created a new set of batch files, so I can get the system working while monitoring the local DMR ham repeater, then have another batch file set for monitoring a local non-ham MotoTRBO site. (I am wanting to map the layout of the site, for the TGs used, and which time slot they are used on.)
If you’re not that experienced with bat files, best thing to do is configure the Network/Site loader and switch between the systems/sites/conventional freqs. Makes life extremely easy.

Was using FMP24 then DSDPlus, just tried using the FMP24-CC and got RTL Device #1 in use and clicked ok and it closed the program.
When i get the device in use error, I rerun the device driver program, zadig and make sure I am applying it to the rtl device . I think dsd links to the wrong usb device when I get the device in use error.

That could be the case, especially if you are using a Realtek-based RTL. There is a specific way to install using Zadig. One right way, and probably a dozen wrong ways that can still work with some jiggering around of crap. Do it right the first time and bingo -- you never have problems.

mtindor has the best way. Zadig overwrites any weird driver and installs the one that works for SDRTrunk, SDR#, DSDPLus, FME, NEO and every SDR program I have tested.

I am only using one dongle, which I changed the serial number on, as the two RTL dongles had the same serial preset. (That had cause issues in the past, which is why I changed the one number, before starting this project.)

Batch file #1
FMP24 -rc -i2 -o20001 -P-12.0 -f442.2125

Batch file #2
DSDPlus -r1 -i20001 -fr >>1R-log.txt

Screenshots. How about screenshots. And with the batch file that you have now, what is the problem you’re having? If you’d be more forthcoming and responsive, your problem likely would’ve been resolved the same day.

You can’t even get the applications to run together and then you go playing with batch files. Puzzles the hell out of me.

Sorry, what's a serial preset?

Some people change the serial numbers but I simply set my bat files to i0 to open the first available dongle and never have dongle conflicts.

The two devices both had the same serial number. I have changed serial number one the one I'm using for this effort. I'll post the screen shots.

Had time to get screen shots.

I run the batch files in numeric order, from the command line, in separate windows, since they don't terminate.

I got the spectrum with the marker showing the frequency in question, and another with a signal there.

Does the received RF signal need to be in the in the highlighted are in the center, to be decoded?

I had issues with SDR++ confusing the two of them, even when they were not plugged in at the same time. I remembered seeing suggestions, back a few years, about changing the serial numbers, so I did. Maybe this is not a concern any longer.

In the FMP* window, the vertical line that moves when you click on the mouse -- that line needs to be right in the middle of the signal that you wish to copy. That white line is your tuning gauge. If you know the frequency, then type it in and hit ENTER and the verticcal line should go to the center of the frequency you typed in (unless your dongle's PPM is off). If your dongles PPM is off, or your SDRPlay or whatever, then just click on the center of the signal you want to monitor and the vertical line will move there.

When I ran 2 dongles in Sdr# or Sdr++, it shows 2 and let you pick the one you want in the drop down. My dongles are very close to PPM of 0 so I just pick either one. If one dongles ppm was way off from the other, than changing serial is a good idea and really the only way to differentiate between the 2 of them..

If you were tuned to 442.20625, and this is what it showed, then your ppm is off.

When tuned to a signal, it should look like this.
