It had better be a big pinch if you get a job there. And the little 15 year old kid is right on one thing. Most people in radioshack don't even know what a scanner is. I don't know how many times idiots from other stores would sell a scanner then send them to me to program them. They would say and I've heard them on security tape. Oh yeah I know a guy who would love to program your scanner (since I'm too lazy and dumb to learn) And I don't know how many times, I resold that same scanner under my name. hehe.

If I sell one, I just pull out their manual and program the local frequencies for them....not a hard concept. There are SOME of us guys in RS that know how to use a little common sense :)

The Shack

I would like to say that it was not my intent to begrade your job, I was speaking from experience from my local shack,I will never be convinced that even if the shack sales more iPODS, cell phones are other trendy items which are in demand but still need folks that know what a 100 ohm resistor is are what type Antenna is best to recieive HD in my area.
I walked in Radio Shack before christmas and ask if they had a Omni Directional Antennae to mount to a RV so then hey looks on his PC walks back in with a large yagi type antenna I looked at it and said thats not what I had in mind. Anyway I hope you do good in you job and Im sure you are very good at what you do but I wished we had people here that knew what they were doing.

I completely understand man. I work with guys that have to ask me about something with every other customer that comes in - begrade all you want. What I do find amusing is going into other RS stores and they don't even have a section for parts or scanner/cb/antenna accessories. As far as your local shack goes and having people that know what they're doing, that fault goes to the manager for hiring a ditz.
