Dynamic talk group question

Hello all-

I am trying to set up a personal hotspot (ZUMspot from HRO). I have everything working but dynamic talkgroups. I am connected to Brandmeister and as long as I use the dashboard, I can set up static talkgroups, monitor groups and have QSO's using my Alinco DJ-MD5.

I would like to use dynamic talkgroups (PTT with the radio) so when I am home I can just key the radio and go without needing to use a computer and the dashboard. No luck. I am using PI-star and have registered, got my ID and can do everything via Brandmeister self help so that is working.

I am using Master 3102. I don't know what a 'reflector' is so left it blank.

Am I missing a setting on the radio, the hotspot or Brandmeister? And how do I find it? This old dog wants to learn some new tricks.

Frankly, I don't bother setting such tslkgroups for use on a simplex hotspot. Rather, I just have a large selection of talkgroups in the codeplug, but that's me.

I have read that -the issue is I can't 'start' a talkgroup (dynamic) from the radio. If I PTT on 3100, the hotspot shows the activity but no dynamic group is set up. If I used my dashboard, I can set up and use any group. I want to use the hotspot from the radio and 'think (always a danger ) that everything is ok (have talked to others so seems to be working just no dynamic talkgroups.
