I am looking for information about what kind of system is described below. It was found today while scanning the 450-470 MHz band. Data was gathered using DSD+ public release 1.101. Callsigns were pulled from the FCC database.

East Mountain Communications (Dutchess County)
462.4750 L13-1.4 DCC:3 WPQC490
464.0500 L13-1.3 DCC:2 WQIC344
464.1375 L13-1.5 DCC:4 WQBS908
451.6250 L13-1.6 DCC:5 WPQC490
452.5250 L13-1.2 DCC:1 WPQC490

DSD+ identifies L13 as the system and 1.2 through 1.6 as the sites. Since there is a color code for each site this appears to be some sort of DMR system but I have never run across anything like this before. Anyone know exactly what kind of system this is? Should a Uniden scanner with DMR upgrade track and decode it?

Appears to be a MotoTrbo Connect Plus system. You should be able to track this with FMP24/DSD PLUS or a DMR upgraded scanner.

It's a Tier III system, not Connect Plus.

It's been a very long time since I've run DSD+ 1.101, but it should tell you the system type in the lower left hand corner of the Event Log window.

Tier III systems feature a letter prefix in the NetID, denoting size:

T = Tiny
S = Small
L = Large
H = Huge

The site numbers also feature a Region (similar to P25 RFSS), which is denoted by the 1.x that DSD+ displays.

In any event, I would strongly suggest that you donate the $10 or $25 to DSD+ to upgrade to the latest Fast Lane versions, if you're serious about discovering and tracking these types of systems. Much has changed with the software since the last public release 1.101, which is quickly approaching four years old at this point. Bugs were also fixed, some of which may negatively affect things that you're seeing and submitting.

There is no 452.525 licensed under WPQC490, or any other East Mountain license. Did you mean 452.625, perhaps? That frequencies is licensed in several locations in Dutchess under WPQC490, as well as in Ulster under WQBS908 .

East Mountain Communications is Ralph Mondello, who owns/operates A-1 Communications with Carl Grabala. They have tons of stuff licensed under several names including A-1 Communications, East Mountain Communications, Carl J Grabala among others I can't remember. Try using FRN searches in FCC ULS to find connections to link the licenses together.

A-1 is pushing a Hytera wide area DMR system. I believe they have a few bus companies, tow companies, and other businesses on there.

Yes, 452.525 is a typo, should be 452.625. Thanks for the link to DSD+ Fast Lane. The laptop I use for DSD+ is making a grinding noise as of this afternoon. I think the cooling fan is failing in this heat.

I haven't spent much time monitoring DMR lately and just did a band search today and found Grabala's system (thanks nozzlenutt83 for the ID). I remember he ran LTR years ago. From what I recall not much on his systems was interesting to monitor.

There are also changes to NYCOMCO's DMR system that I will submit to the database when I get things sorted here. Sunday is not the best day for catching traffic on the DMR system.

A1 and East Mountain have been pushing Hytera equipment. As GTR8000 has mentioned its a Tier III system.

I was able to get DSD+ Fast Lane and gathered data on this Tier III system which has been submitted to the database. The Uniden BCD536HP LCN finder worked well and the scanner does track the sites. Some of the system radios have an alias that is transmitted and that helps identify some of the users. Most of the traffic is taxis. There are also bus companies, school districts, a highway department, propane delivery etc. I will track the system for a few more days, submit updates, and call it a wrap.

The control channels display Net 0012 Signal Hill. Also found 452.3375 color code 7 site 0007.
With the same ID, I picked up these control channels: 472.0375 and 472.0875 with color code 2 and 477.775 with color code 7, all with corresponding site numbers.

Uniden and DSD+ display different values for the Net ID and Site ID. I'm attempting to sort this out to determine which is correct.

Also note that Goosetown has a Hytera TIII system on the air with the same Net ID, which is mostly what you're picking up with those T-Band frequencies. The two systems are not related or connected.

Does anyone have DSD+ channel numbers or Uniden LCN's for the Goosetown Hytera TIII system referenced above?

Not likely, as there is no activity on that system yet. All of those entries in the database came from my own observations as control channels popped up.

OK, my interest is in seeing how 454 MHz frequencies are handled as well as those above 470 MHz.

Can you listen to these on a computer?
Yes, with an SDR dongle (or discriminator tapped scanner) and software,
