I love seeing on pro96com when a unit (Fremont PD) tells another unit to "go to 3" and you see about 10 radios switch to eavesdrop haha.

Lmao..I did a sit-in with FPD dispatch a while ago, that happens every single frkn time LOL. And it is not just other officers, other dispatchers (hotseat and/or backup) will switch over their secondary radios too lol.

And on topic here ----- Anyone have any idea when ALCO Fire will switch?

CCCO Central Channel Expansion

EBRCSA is planning to add 2 channels to the CCCO central simulcast cell. As coverage testing of each simulcast cell was completed, it was determined that four of the six fill-in sites were not required (Gwin, Niles Canyon, Fire Station 53, and Crockett). The removal of these sites from the system design means they now have extra equipment, and the plan is to use that equipment to expand the CCCO central cell.

Crane Ridge is also offline at the moment. Don't know if that has anything to do with the issue at hand.

Pleasant Hill PD is now on the system. I noticed this the other day. I think they've been online for a week or so.

And the bus yacking on 4513 is Pleasanton Wheels. The Tri-Valley non-Pub Safety's been pretty slow at going online. Livermore PW seems to be the only one (minus the airport) to make occasional appearances yet they've got a number of TG's. Zone 7 has a TG or so on the system so they should appear eventually. Boring stuff but just more to scratch off the list.

Sounds like ALCO SO is trying to switch over this morning. Lots of units going 10-8 and doing radio checks this morning. Hearing calls dispatched as well on Disp 1 (3705) and Disp 2 (3706).

You are right. ACSO is dead on Motorola Trunking. ACSO Dispatch 2 (16048) keeps keying up with no voice every now and then. Picking them up on EBRCS pretty good though.

Talk group 6013

Heard a lot of traffic on TG 6013 today. Sounds like a Con Fire Tactical TG. I believe it may be called "Tac 2"

Some of this traffic was for a fire on Treat Blvd.

From what I've logged there looks like 50+ TG's for ConFire. I'd guess various different commands and TAC's.

Unrelated....

5121 is Camp Parks PD. I believe 5120 is also associated with them but haven't confirmed yet.

I believe these are their legacy ALCO TG's: 17328, 17360

Today I noticed some Livermore City FD radios appear on the system and snoop through all their channels. Radio ID range is 3187xxx which puts it in the City of Livermore's block. Fire is typically 2000 less than PD (@ 3189xxx).

Did anyone notice that EBRCS website changed under "Project Status" from the spreadsheet to "Project Complete"?
I am moving in Antioch and since I took my external antenna down, I hear zero EBRCS, doesn't even break squelch ever.

The CoCo East cell has been completed for some time now. The only thing that was outstanding was the Walnut Creek BART Site on the central cell.

I imagine its online now... saw folks working on the tower (new monopole) for the better part of July. I've also noticed some p25 decoding issues which likely are the result of multipath interference... although its VERY minor since I live so close to the Pine St site...so, my guess is that WC BART tower is online.

As far as breaking squelch, I can tell you that EBRCS CCCO East is running just fine... I can hear it from my location near Martinez.

Just noticed the control channel for the CCCO Central Cell changed this afternoon. The CC is on 774.45625 now (previous 774.73125, as it had been for months and months). Wonder if it changed in the East as well and if this change is the problem Dennis is having above...

Don't feel bad, I stay off of Observation way and my psr800 is a hit or miss. I literally have to walk around my house and find a good spot. My old TV antenna on the roof works great though. But then I'm stuck with a rg59 leash.

Caught this today while they were "testing coverage":

TG 6022 TAC O 10
TG 6023 TAC O 11
These O Zone Tac and Cmd names seems to have been renamed or moved to different TG's. This string of TG's are now assigned as "Training" ## and so forth. The highest I've confirmed is 6 on 6018.

Two new freqs popped up on CCCO Central Cell this morning. 770.53125 and 771.08125.

Oddly though, UniTrunker now shows all three alternate control channels as 774.73120 with three different LCN's. Perhaps a gremlin in my computer. Anyone else seeing this?

Hey Sid.

Can you try erasing the freqs in your file and having it re-populate? I've had my pro96com file bring over freqs from other sites making it appear there are new freqs active.
