I have heard from city employees that encryption will happen, so clear traffic won't last long.

Yeah, I figure so. I'm fairly sure that Antioch PD dispatch was not encrypted initially, but it got turned on somewhere along the way.

From what I remember, Antioch had always been encrypted when they moved to EBRCS. Brentwood is only doing it because they always have too.

I thought I was able to listen to it (on EBRCS) back around the time when it was linked to the old analog system, but maybe it's my imagination...

I guess that's possible, but I was speaking to the full migration to EBRCS. I'm sure it was discussed in this thread at some point.

Yea I noticed the other day they were dispatching off command 13. Something to keep an ear on for permanent change.

East Bay Region Parks Simulcast

The EBRPD law and fire/admin low band channels are being simulcast on EBRCS. The DB is up to date. A reliable source told me that this is permanent. So, if you like listening to the park district you'll have crystal clear quality reception on the EBRCS site (assuming you are within range of it).

Benicia Move to EBRCS

Sounds like Benicia has moved over to EBRCS.

Digital audio from EBRCS is simulcasting to their analog repeater. Dispatch, mobile, portable - everything sounds P25. Also heard audio on east bay system.

Dispatch/Main TG is on 7905. Unknown how many talkgroups they have been assigned.

**Cal Maritime Academy police also heard using radios other than their usual DMR frequency. (Heard this in person, not over scanner/radio. Will try to investigate further.) Must be fairly well set-up since they are still able to speak to their dispatch at San Jose State.

I guess this means I will have to add them in the EBRCS program and update because I still have them on the old freq.

Yes, their old frequency is still active, and they are patching audio to it - most likely for interoperability with Vallejo, Solano, and for the many people in town with scanners :)
May also be good for them to have a fallback in case (SHTF) happens and they need to utilize the legacy repeater.

*To edit to my last post, Cal Maritime University Police are still on DMR, but experienced a power outage tonight, which is why they have been silent on the radio. Dispatching via cell phone direct to SJ State Univ. until power is restored. No new radios, nothing different :-|

I'm very confident that 7906 and 7907 are Benecia PD 2 and PD 3, respectively.

All RIDs for Benecia 43471xx

Appears that TG 5556 is being used for CON-EMS dispatch in East CCCo. Sources are 4012006 and 4352xxx. No hits on 5555 on East Simulcast (today). A few hits on 4012008->5557 too, but no user traffic.

TG 1046 - some type of SAR or ATG Tac channel. Current traffic is CCSO and STARR 3 coordinating a short-haul rescue. Guys on the ground speaking with pilots, calling out distances to ground, etc.

Based on its number, it seems to be a system-wide TG... I'm calling it EBRCS SAR ATG TAC 1046. I'm not creating a submission because this isn't really confirmed.

Hearing some encrypted traffic on CCCo East on TG 10224. Users are in the 3297xxx range, and don't seem to be active on any other TGs. Anyone know what it is?
