Not those channels; but BARTPD is planned to encrypt on their system on the 12th as well. This leads me to my next question, will these BART channels be encrypted?View attachment 190932
Anyone have an update on Alameda County encryption? As of 7:00 a.m. everything from San Leandro down to Fremont is "in the clear". Don't know about Oaktown. Radio techs are encrypted so can't get any info from them.
This is terrible. Why can’t they do like Dallas, Texas and have dispatch in the clear but have two or three secure channels where they can take their traffic this is totally bogus. I’m still waiting to cease statistics that say officers are in more danger with an unencrypted system.More encryption news:

Public Access to Police Radio Traffic in Contra Costa County to be Cut Off
Public access to law enforcement radio traffic will soon be a thing of the past in Contra Costa County as encryption is set to be turned on.contracosta.news
Why can’t they do like Dallas Texas have their main dispatch channels in the clear but provide two or three secure channels for so-called traffic that not intended for public consumption this is terrible. I just want to hide things. I still haven’t seen statistics that say having encryption, saves officers lives.!!!The entire EBRCS system including 43 Law Enforcment Agencies from Contra Costa County and others on the EBRCS system is going encrypted on September 4, 2025. In Contra Costa all cities and county law enforcement will be encrypted so you will not be able to hear any law enforcement communications. The Contra Costa Fire will remain without encryption.
Don’t hold your breath. So far, a measurable drop in crime has never been attributed to radio encryption.I’m still waiting to cease statistics that say officers are in more danger with an unencrypted system.

BARTPD dispatch now encrypted on their system.
I've picked up a few other talkgroups in the clear.Do you know if it's all of their talkgroups, or just dispatch?

Oh - sorry, no. Didn't have a chance - just some non PD groups.PD talkgroups? I know the rest of the system is in the clear.
Just dispatch currently. TACs still clear, but likely won’t last for long.Do you know if it's all of their talkgroups, or just dispatch?
