This is the list from Scan NE:

US Coast Guard (USCG) 1st District - Scan New England Wiki

I have 162.125, 163.050 and 165.3125 on my scanner. All are NAC 293.

162.125 is USCG Station New London but is about half encrypted (sounds like the station end, but the boats come in just fine. The other two are listed as Long Island Sound Primary and Secondary. I have also picked up some USCG UHF LIS operations on 455.9125 DCS606, but that sounds more like New Haven than New London.

pdeveau2010,

Said you want to catch a sub in the river. A sub will be transiting the Thames River today, they just started the alerts for a Naval Protection Zone

BTW did you happen to catch the USS Toledo heading out yesterday evening for Lisbon ??

AIS

Thanks for the info, someday I'll get a photo just like the one you posted, great photo, most of the time I hang out in the fort trumbull public parking area and monitor from there. maybe 2 times a month, but haven't seen a sub yet. I love this hobby!
