Have you been able to just hold on the frequency and see if you receive anything?
Are the other Lorain channels also set as priority? Try only setting EPD to priority.
On the 1065 all conv channels have equal priority might just be missing traffic to busier channels.

Nasby...I set it just as you said and still nothing. I don’t get it. I can hear everyone else perfectly.

Try setting the Squelch Mode to "Search". Then don't do anything with the Squelch Code setting.

Then leave the scanner set to pause on the EPD channel. This will allow you to only monitor EPD to see if you are receiving them or not.

It's hard to say for sure if you are receiving the channel if you are scanning a bunch of other stuff at the same time.

Thank you both so much! When I just stay on EPD, I can hear them. When I start scanning, I don't.pick them up. I don't have anything else set to priority.

Thank you radios4bill...I tried to save list, but it just saves as a bin file. Can you have squelch dial too high? I had it turned to max and I'm wondering if that could be the problem. I'm going to try to turn it down to see, if that does anything.

Set the squelch as low as possible

Can you have squelch dial too high?

Yes... You set the squelch just high enough to stop the static at the end of a transmission on analog/conventional frequencies.

If the squelch is fully off (open) at the 7 O'clock position, then typically you would set the squelch at the 9 or 10 O'clock position.

I could not for the life of me figure out why I could not hear Elyria PD since they switched to P25. I had my scanners set to audio type: digital and I had their NAC of 293 programmed in. I finally figured it out. I am using a uniden BCD996P2 and a BCD536HP. This is the solution:

Set the audio type to “ALL” not digital, not analog, and you don’t have to enter a NAC. That fixed the problem and I could immediately hear them.

Something else must be up. I am receiving on both my 996xt and 436hp with digital and NAC 293. What is your modulation set to? On the 436hp mine is FM on the 996xt NFM
