Yes Lexington county as a whole is moving towards total encryption. Currently only LCSD is encrypted but now the municipal pd’s, Fire,EMS and public works will be joining them over the next year. Reprogramming has already started. I can confirm that IRMO PD 1(24912) and IRMO PD ROAM(24913) have gone encrypted so far. I have gotten some encrypted transmissions here and there on both LCFS ADMIN (24543) and LEMS ADMIN (24567) over the last few months. I have also heard that Columbia pd is in the process as well. Have not heard anything about Columbia fire or Richland EMS.

The vhf has tone out. What they going to do with that?
Cut it off. That's what Hendricks County here is going to do once all Fire and EMS is going E very soon. They will go with Unication pagers that can be used on the SAFE-T statewide TRS. Paging is done already over the TRS anyway at the same time as the VHF. It's the same way in many places nationwide now.
