Does anyone know what programming softeware I would use to programming software I need to use or download to program my ericsson or cougar 700p radio.

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.
To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).
This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

I am not sure what you are trying to say. Are you saying that the list of programs you have listed will work for my radio or what?

“Programmer” software is the older version of what is now the RPM (radio personality manager) line of programming software. The latest version of RPM1 is V14, but there were many versions of RPM prior to 14. Now, Harris has released RPM2, which is a total rework of RPM1. RPM2 will not work for you, but RPM1 or the older Programmer software will get this radio programmed.
Programmer is no longer offered for purchase, but RPM1 (V14) is bundled with RPM2 when purchased from Harris. The least expensive RPM2/RPM1 bundle is available ok CD from L3Harris for around $850, or can be downloaded from the L3H Priority TechLink Portal, provided you have an account which costs around $3k/yr.
I have the CD and a single computer license… My dealer was generous enough to transfer the contents of the CD to a dealer supplied flash drive free of charge for installation without a CD drive… I then called L3H TAC to get the license set up on my machine.

RPM only supports the RU model of the 700P. The KRD model of the 700P is only supported in ProGrammer. The RU models can be programmed with both ProGrammer and RPM, depending on which software it was last programmed with and the firmware version.

Ok thanks for your information. I purchased the software program from Harris site. I don't know if I download the right one. I will let you know when I install it next week.

L3HARRIS TAC doesn't provide downloads of it's programming software (it's sold in a disc psckage) and they don't sell directly to individuals. ProGrammer can not be purchased. It's long been discontinued and RPM2 comes packaged with RPM1 vR14C05. You can only purchase the packaged bundle. RPM1 vR14C05 is not sold individually.

Those are pretty old radios. What are you intending to listen to with it? Is it even the right band for you?

Very few EDACS systems are still operational. (I'm only certain of ONE...)
They're very heavy radios, due to the use of a lead-containing alloy in their cast frame.
It's worth it to find out now if the radio can even do what you want.

Maybe, but I personally am sure of only one. It's local to me. For all I know, the rest have transitioned to P25. Or not. I don't know.

I have a Jaguar 700p system (KRD 103161) I am using the ProGrammer software to connect to my radio. My problem is this software want import the format form RadioReference. I live in Texas in Montgomery County. I need a file with information from Montgomery County that in the format for ProGrammer software so I can import it into my radio. If someone can help me I would be most grateful. If there is any other information you might need please let me know.

You’d have better luck with a scanner. And MCSO and Conroe PD are encrypted so you can’t monitor with a real radio or a scanner just so you know.

That’s a pretty niche request… I’d start learning how to enter it manually. Programmer is old and not commonly used anymore.
