I am trying to update some favorites on Sentinel version 3.0 on Windows 11 and keep running into an error message. Wondering if anyone else has seen this or if there is a fix for it? Thanks!

I’ve had it pop up before. I had to click “quit” multiple times and then close the software and reopen it.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I rebooted Windows and have not seen it appear since. It used to rear it's ugly head if I right click on a blank area of the favorites pane to create a new favorite, but this happened in the middle of updating an existing favorite so kinda frustrated that it lost a few changes (I'm in the habit of hitting ctrl-s every 5 seconds so not a lot lost!)

If it happens again, I will uninstall Sentinel, verify Dot Net 2.0 and 3.0 and re-install the app. Just wondering if it was a quirk of being a Windows program.

I am trying to update to the newest version of Sentinel. I clicked update, update master HPDB. Popup appears referencing a new version of Sentinel, I click download. Browser opens, I click the download link. What do I do now?

The file that downloaded, BCDx36HP_Sentinel_Version_3_0_00.zip, is "zipped" (compressed). Using Windows Explorer (also called File Explorer) <Right><Click> on the file & select "Extract All" from the menu that pops up. (Close the older Sentinel version before proceeding farther.)

That will create a folder named BCDx36HP_Sentinel_Version_3_0_00.
Click on that folder to open it.
Looking at that folder:

Double click on the file named Setup.exe to start the installation process. If your anti-virus blocks the installation, either turn it off temporarily, or tell it to that the file is safe, and to proceed. Depending on your system's setup, you might need to do that as an administrator if you get that error message.

Once the new version is installed, you can start it & complete the database update.

The current version is 3.00 (Revision 1) now.
