My HP2 has a built-in speaker that works great. I never used a powered speaker back when I occasionally used it in my car. A loud vehicle, for whatever reason, may necessitate something with more volume.

Now, as a member of a country band that has used monitors (speakers), yes, the Behringer monitor is an overkill, especially with those accoutrements that come with it. Furthermore, it runs on 120 VAC so it wouldn't be practical for a vehicle. Monitors are placed in front of the talent on stage so they can hear what they're putting out. (Our band now uses wireless in-ear monitors.) There are other speakers with 12VDC and mini plugs that would be more suitable and a whole lot cheaper.

My truck has 120vac, usb and classic cigarette plugs. So those are my options for voltage. This will be used mobile.

if you have a suggestion please let me know?

FXDSCON's suggestion is perfect. You don't need 50 watts of power with a mixer and equalizer.
