I like to operate PSK31, MFSK16 and MT63 digital modes on the 40m - 6m ham bands.

Maybe this question was supposed to be about about voice frequencies
that you can actually listen to and not digital modes.
In that case, my favorite is 29.66 FM, home of the W5DFW repeater.

Mr Hanky

Those were three different statements. 11300 ATC: USCG: RTTY on C-64. The RTTY statement is not related to 11300

Here's a couple..

10.151.1 LSB is the HF APRS frequency, 300 baud packet.

And 14.230 USB is generally in use with guys sending each other ATV (Amateur Television).

As noted in several places, propagation has been lousy to Florida, so it's not as easy to hear the Hurricane net; check on the top and bottom of each hour. They should be taking obs. Mode is, of course, USB.

Tom, in the rare times 10 meter skip has been running, I've heard the W5DFW repeater way up here in Maryland overruning just about anything else on that freq. Heck, I've heard it on an attic antenna with a small amp into my PRO2004.
Sure wish I could put something up on HF. 73s Mike ka3jjz@erols.com

Band conditions last night and this morning were crummy! All 20m voice is USB. A K5 who was net control indicated that propagation was so bad that he was considering suspending the net at one point around 0730 EDT. There is also a "Health and Welfare" net that is supposed to start up this morning a bit lower on 20m USB. Band conditions here in NJ are really bad so my copy has been minimal.

Don, go for the Yachtboy. Lindsay...this is a great new forum subject. I like being able to say I can monitor from 30 KHz to 1.9 GHz, straight through, and all modes.
The favorites are the HF MWARA frequencies. On good nights, living on the East Coast, I like to try a little dxing. I have caught Sydney on 8867 talking to Qantas airliners. I can routinely monitor San Francisco ARINC late night on 11 and 10 MHz frequencies.

Where can I get a list of HF Frequencies transmitted in my local area, is there a directory of that at the FCC?

Nopper's No FCC Guide.....

http://www.grove-ent.com is one place to look, another is buy the Police Call and Load the CDRom, there is a section with worldwide HF Frequencies in it. Heck by doing a simple google or dogpile search you will kick up too many HF frequencies, you will be so busy with them you might forget you're Radio scanner exists.

you ain't kidding.

all the Hurricane Net control this past week has been out of the American Southwest and California!

still, they manage to get a few stations from the areas affected by Ivan, even breaking into Spanish to confirm a few dx'es from the islands!

but prop is so bad i keep thinking, "Is something wrong with the antenna? Did it fall down?"

Hurricane Net and Ivan - 14.325 MHz

Was thinking the same thing - that my crummy dipole was the problem. Checked with a friend who has an antenna farm that is so extensive that he has to mow it, not just tend it. He confirms that band conditions bite the big wet one. I do hear some of the Cuban stations way down in the noise with measured data but not with consistent copy.
