I am in the Fayette County area today and heard someone using 453.6375 with a of NAC170. anyone have any idea who this might be?

West Virginia Statewide TRS. The system ID for it is 170 and it uses UHF frequencies in the 450 and 460 bands.

Up here in West Mifflin, PA, Some of the WV site boooom in just before a storm. I mean full scale signal. Mostly from down south in WV. Good listening at times.

I know that I was picking them up at 4 and 5 bars using the stock antenna on my PSR800.

Not too unusually. . . . looking at the WV page for their statewide system- that freq is on a tower near Fairmont, WV

Depending on where you were at in Fayette County at the time, the signals from Fairmont boom into the county. . . . .
