Does anyone know if the simulcast VHF Tone out is on the air for PTC? I do not hear it.
Yes they have a tone outDoes anyone know if the simulcast VHF Tone out is on the air for PTC? I do not hear it.
I am located near Braelinn Village shopping center and do not hear them.Yes they have a tone out
Though I cannot say for sure, it certainly makes the most sense to pinging the sirens.Speaking of tones and such, anyone have any idea what TG 2025 is being used for? at exactly 7am-7:10am daily, it seems to be one radio ID rapidly dialing a code to other radio IDs, then those radios "responding" with a different dialing pattern. Warning Sirens checking in perhaps?
Working fine on south side of PTC, I only monitor the city. Double check you have all the control Frequencies.Haven't been able to hear a thing in a couple of days. Only getting Coweta. I've updated my scanner and database. Are you guys hearing anything? Is the dreaded encryption day finally upon us?
still traffic in the clear. did you update the firmware on your SDS (if you have those)? it seriously degraded my performance on Atlanta public safetyHaven't been able to hear a thing in a couple of days. hey… not from your area… first of all… there is no documented encryption on the system… but that could have changed… also the 325p2 is not designed to work with simulcast… as this is a simulcast system… also… have you programmed in all channels… as it appears that all of them are capable as control channels… and to deal with the simulcast issue… i would recommend picking up an sds-100 or sds-200…I know this thread has been dormant for a while but hoping someone sees this. Has Fayette Co's system been encrypted? I moved last year and have just now turned on my scanner (BCD325P2). I am only 3 miles from the Porter Rd tower but have not heard anything all day. I used ProScan to download all control channels and talk groups for a fresh install. Still nothing.
Thanks for the info. I did not realize the 325P2 was not capable of working with Simulcast. I had used it in the past on the same system and was receiving at least 75% of the conversation. Now I am getting nothing. I used the RR data to import all channels and everything looks good. May be time for a base scanner and a bigger antenna. ***Update***So, I installed a DPD OmniX antenna the attic (top of attic 2 story house) and bought a new SDS200 scanner. I am receiving transmissions from Coweta County, Spalding County, Metro Atlanta, and Fulton County. Still nothing from Fayette County Simulcast. Am I missing something or is this system just that quiet?
You should listen up on my broadcastify stream. Fayette County Public Saftey Live Audio Feed***Update***
I guess Fayette / Peachtree City is just quieter than the others. I have started receiving a few transmissions on their system.
