Was just about to post too and got the notification.

I've been getting a little more info on 168.15. It seems that 168.15 110.9 PL is referred to as Channel 3. It's the security/gate guards channel. Channel 1 is the base police freq. I don't think 168.15 82.5 PL is that channel. I think the 82.5 PL may be Channel 2.

So there is something else for us to keep listening for.

Here's another one for us to figure out. 167.4875 167.9 PL
Really brief voice comms, now I just hear bursts of static, encryption maybe.

I think this one could be originating from closer to DC. References to MD Rt410 and 500. Can only hear one side of the conversation.
The only local info I have on it does not include a PL and that's as FBI Norfolk F3.

I'll put 167.4875 and see what I hear.

I posted in the VA forum about 168.15 since we believe it's originating in VA,

BTW...the Andrew's 380MHz trunked system you gave me the info on was working well this weekend. :)

I'm getting traffic on 167.4875 with the PL of 167.9Hz here as well. VERY faint.

I grew up in the PG County, Maryland Route 410 begins in Bethesda in Montgomery County and ends just near the New Carrollton Metro Station in Prince George's County. MD 410 starts as East-West Highway at the Bethesda Metro Station and continues through Silver Spring (near the Silver Spring Metro Station) and turns onto Philadelphia Avenue near Takoma Park. Ron

I believe that would confirm it to be FBI. That PL is basically only for the FBI. The freq is valid (163 range or 167 range) and the units match what I'm hearing in Oklahoma. Copied a unit in the 500s range. As to the specific channel assignment, I've got no idea there -- they appear to be very localized. But I recently found an FBI repeater here on 167.2375 with same PL and surveillance ops. One unit was DES encrypted and the other was clear voice. Wierd to listen to but I guess they had no problem.

Does anyone know what kind of radios these guys have to be able to transmit DES and receive toned (PL)? It's kind of like the Motorola Smartnet where some of the guys are encrypted and others aren't. But I was kind of wondering how that works.

I don't think I've posted any transmissions being DES encrypted P25 and using a PL nor have I heard such a thing. not sure...

Mt. Weather traffic about Berkeley Co Accident

I heard an accident dispatched on the analog 453.5250MHz freq for Berkeley Co. Fire/Rescue dispatch. within a few seconds after, I heard traffic on what's listed in the DB as a Mt. Weather freq. one side was encrypted and the other was not. listen to the attached audio.

Fire/rescue from Martinsburg airport maybe? That location is right along there.

yeah, I was thinking that a few of those listed as Mt. Weather aren't really but somewhere else. I don't know why Mt. Weather would be interested in a wreck on I81. maybe if it was Mt. Weather, they are watching more then we think.
