just wondering does any one from sarnia- london area know if the ontario fire marshell still use analog freq
ah ok thanks for the help
I'm sure somebody would have heard something since a change in the OFM frequency would involve reprogramming every fire radio in the province.
You'll probably never hear the OFM on it.
Chances are they are on cellphones or satphones or less likely, their other frequency or Fleetnet.
Most County's have set aside a Countywide channel for mutual aid calls and the use of OFM is becoming less and less these days.
I have even heard it used, albeit rarely, as an announcement freq. to alert different departments of upcoming funerals for firefighters.![]()
Just heard county fire radio testing, (Middlesex) and when they switched to Tac2 (OFM) I heard nothing.
