HI.

Hi All.

I forgot to say before that Ive tried the USB cable in 4 different USB ports on my desktop computer and still get the...Has anybody ever gotten a bad/non-functioning USB cable with their BCD536HP?

It's a regular USB cable (A to mini B) that you can get for under $10 at almost any store. Literally any computer store is going to have dozens of them. Canada Computers in London shows them for sale for $5.99.

Many digital cameras, video cameras, game controllers, cell phones use this type of cable.

If you even have a cell phone charger with the same connector, the scanner will detect the 5V and should go into the Mass Storage/Serial mode.

If you have any other portable electronic devices in the house, chances are something has this same interface as the scanner.
